Who we are

David Smart established Smart Consultancy (Scotland) Ltd in 2004 and has approaching 27 years of consultancy experience – working mainly in a Scottish context.

In this period, he has undertaken over 400 consultancy assignments across the public, third and private sectors – hugely varied in scale and subject matter. 

David leads a team of associates in Smart Consultancy to enable the best resources to fit with every assignment. You can out more about them here.

He is a senior Associate of the Improvement Service, the Taylor Clarke Partnership, Social Marketing Gateway, and the Business Success Partnership.   He is also Strategic Advisor to the Supplier Development Programme.

David is a Director of the the charity Healthy and Active in East Kilbride.    

David is also a very small-scale owner of St Mirren Football Club.
